Timbona, in Mexico can mean in certain contexts “chubby”

However, it also translates as something that is consistent, and with soul. Something that is thick in essence. We say it when a woman is pregnant and to the earth that gives us life. Timbona’s intention is to share our precious traditions from Oaxaca, México to all of you.

Our sole purpose, since the project began in 2010, was rooted in our people and our traditions. All of these beautiful hand-crafts are made by genuine Oaxacan artisans, using ancient techniques that have been passed on through generations, both within families and within communities. We are really happy to bring to you Mexican love and effort, materialized within textiles.
